Genuine Local Hospitality

For us, West Yellowstone isn’t simply where we own our businesses. It’s home - and it has been part of Chip’s family story for generations.

Chip is a third-generation West Yellowstone local. His grandparents owned Simpson’s Cabins back when the town had no paved roads and was truly seasonal. His father was a local builder, while his mother worked in the service industry. Building, hospitality and West Yellowstone have been part of Chip’s life from the beginning.

Amber moved to West Yellowstone around the turn of the century, where she and Chip met and built a life together. Around 2009, they built Arrowhead Lodge with a simple idea: create comfortable, welcoming accommodations for people coming to experience Yellowstone National Park.

For us, a good life has always centered around home, family and grandkids coming and going, friends gathering, dogs we adore underfoot, and making room for the people we care about. That same spirit shapes the way we host. We want our guests to feel genuinely welcomed, comfortable and cared for while they’re here.

Today, Arrowhead offers nine West Yellowstone vacation rentals just one mile from Yellowstone National Park, with options including private kitchens, a shared guest kitchen and free laundry. We operate Arrowhead with a small local team, including Amber’s sister, Ronny, our property manager.

Giving Back to the Place We Call Home

West Yellowstone has given our family our livelihood, our community and a wonderful life. We believe in giving back to the place that has given us so much. We are active members of the community and longtime supporters of local organizations, causes, events and charitable efforts. Amber is active in local nonprofit and community work, while Chip and CS Construction contribute time, resources and expertise to community projects and organizations.West Yellowstone has changed tremendously since the days of Simpson’s Cabins and dirt streets, but welcoming Yellowstone travelers remains part of this town - and part of our family. We’re grateful to carry that tradition forward. That’s what Genuine Local Hospitality means to us.

Built Here. Owned Here. Operated Here.

Through CS Construction, Chip has spent decades building in and around West Yellowstone. Arrowhead isn’t part of a hotel chain or a collection of vacation rentals managed from somewhere else. We built it, we own it, and we’re still here.
When you book direct with Arrowhead Lodge, there are real local people behind your reservation — people who know the properties, know West Yellowstone and genuinely care about your stay.
